Ronald McDonald Learning Centre
RMHC (Malta) acquired the vacant site in Qawra in September 2016 and construction began in November of that year. Shell construction was completed in Autumn 2017 and finishing works started soon after that.
We have directed considerable resources to the centre, which has been purposely designed to deliver services to young clients, and we have received tremendous support from numerous benefactors in Malta and internationally to finish and equip the premises.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities Learning Centre is the charity’s first major project in Malta. The facility is located specifically in the north of the island and aims to fill the regional void in specialised and accessible support services for children who face challenges related to learning disabilities or general disadvantages.
The 360-square metre Learning Centre features:
- Safe, learning and therapeutic environment for children
- Training rooms
- Activity areas
- Fully equipped teaching kitchen
